Places to Look for Help

Abuse and Violence

++++ NOTE++++ Abusers can track telephone conversations (both landline and cell phones), email transmissions, and computer internet use.  If you are currently in an abusive relationship, do not use your personal telephone or computer to look for help.  Instead, practice safety first by using a safe telephone or computer, perhaps at a public library or a friend's house.

Take Gavin de Becker's online threat assessment test at MOSAIC where you can privately assess your safety and learn the subtle indicators that you are at risk of being harmed.  Take the test if you feel afraid, even though nothing overt has happened!!
